"Liam is fine." There was an audible hint of pride in her voice, despite him being Dick's son and not hers. What exactly she was to the boy was technically up in the air. Something between an aunt and a mother, she assumed. Just the way she was something between a sister and a wife to Dick. It was never wise to dwell on titles in their relationships. Liam was Dick's, sure, but Helena loved him just as fiercely. There was no denying the maternal instinct that was now so closely associated with the boy.
