[While he's gone, she takes the time to reorient herself and take stock of what's happened so far. She's found Davesprite, almost against all odds. A safe haven for the following night has been secured, and possibly a way for her to gain information about what her past friends have been doing. Now, she's getting a few drinks out of it. So far, the evening has gone better than planned (which was not saying much, considering how her plan had been to sit in her hotel room and watch reruns of Jake's comedy sketch).

The Land of Lolitas and Birds didn't sound half so bad as it might have years ago. At least it sounded happier than the reality set before them nowadays.
