[ Marc laughs a little, but it's self-deprecating. ]

That's enough of a problem right there.

My relationship with Jake is no business of yours.

[ she's not even sure how to define what the have. whatever it is. and it's definitely gotten more complicated in the last five minutes. ]

[lunartics]

It sure damn well is. You can't have just him.

[ Marlene was the only person who accepted all of them. If this was something that was just for Jake... that wouldn't work. Marc was already on edge. ]

[neptunia]

[ she's growling now, leaning in towards him dangerously. she does not like being told what she can and can't do. being controlled. ]

Namora may have whomever she wishes.

[lunartics]

She sure can, but right now she's got two others who gotta tag along with the package.

No avoiding that.

[neptunia]

[ her tone rises]

I have never even met this other one and you do not like me. [ jake is enough for her. jake will always be enough for her. ]

IT'S NOT LIKE HE LIKES YOU OR ANYTHING

[lunartics]

Didn't say that, I said-- [ ugh wait what change the subject ]

I don't like not controlling my body.

Then speak to Jake about it. Discuss something.

[ she scoffs ]

This squabbling between you and... him is idiotic. Figure something out. [ said in a matter-of-fact tone like everyone is wrong but her. ]

[lunartics]

It's not that easy.

[ he sulks for a moment before confessing something very vaguely ]

But we've done it before.

[neptunia]

Then do it again. If I wanted to deal with children, I would return to my kingdom where the guppies are prominent.

[ she sits up on her knees so that she's slightly over him now, putting her hands on her hips, claws digging into the draping fabric of her outfit ]

[lunartics]

[ guppies...

and he takes a pause before responding since she's suddenly looming closer ]

We had someone before. All three of us together.

[neptunia]

[ her eyes narrow now, watching him carefully ]

Explain.

[lunartics]

Doesn't matter now. She got left behind. [ along with a lot of other things since coming to this place... he fights back trying to show how much that still bothers him ] But she... we all agreed on her. [ if nothing else. ]

[neptunia]

Do you need someone else like that? To keep this situation under control?

[ she had to wonder who exactly his woman was and part of her maybe thought that she did know. ]

[lunartics]

[ the bluntness in her phrasing makes him scoff, but it's a humorless sound ]

Won't work otherwise. Unless you want to keep fighting.

[neptunia]

[ she reaches out, grabbing him by the collar now and looking him straight in the eye: ]

I had said I would help. I will do it.

[lunartics]

[ the grip stills him at first, but as her implication comes through, a smile starts to spread ]

'Help'?

[neptunia]

Quiet, human.

[ before she leans forward, smashing her lips against his, the gentleness from before gone. ]

[ He apparently doesn't really get a choice in obeying that command or not, since her lips against his own sufficiently muffle him -- but a moan does slip out, startled but slowly easing back.

His hands reach up, grasping firmly at her shoulders and he returns the kiss with force. He refuses to be passive like Jake would be, pressing forward even if he knows she outmatches him by far. ]

[ she's surprised with his forcefulness, eyes flicking open for a moment, before taking that as a challenge and kissing him even harder, rougher. she forces him onto his back against the bed, nails digging into his upper arm, her body leaning over his, hovering to press. ]

[ There's a muffled sound of protest as she forces him down, clearly wanting to be the one on top but also clearly not being able to do anything about it. He groans at the feel of her nails and squirms beneath her, more of a token struggle for now, one hand burying into her hair and clutching almost covetously. ]

[ she settles down on him when he starts to squirm, pressing her body against his almost encouragingly, her free hand slipping under his shirt and brushing against his side. her kiss softens just the slightest when she feels content -- satisfied enough -- but that doesn't stop her from nipping at his lips bitingly. ]
