"I'll tell you how you can help me," Electro said, his voice hoarse, but soft. "You can let me out of here, how about it?"

The direct approach never worked, but Electro wanted to hazard the chance. It was Piper, after all. The energy in his fingertips buzzed but didn't release, but it was enough that he thought -- maybe, maybe -- he could defend himself if he had to. It was always a risk. And maybe this was fate's way of telling him this was the end of his road. He had a good run, at any rate. But he wasn't a noble person. He never was.

Even now he was thinking of killing his friend to live to vandalize another day. Noble -- right.

"It can be our secret."

[snidepiper]

"I will." This range true as a promise, though he was pretty sure his method would not be taken well, if he were to elaborate on it. "Just relax. I'm not going to hurt you."

A pause.

"Just close your eyes, okay?"

"I'd rather keep them open," Electro said quickly, smirking at Piper in a cocky way. "If it's all the same to you. Been such a long time since I got a look at your pretty face and all."

And then, knowing that wouldn't be sufficient, he added: "It's okay if you let me go. It is."

[snidepiper]

"I--wh..." He felt his face grow hot, couldn't tell if it was shame, or panic.

"Please don't do this, Electro."

[currentcy]

"Oh, come on. You know you don't have to do this, don't you?" He lowered his eyes, frowning, having no energy to argue further.

"Whatever. Do what you need to do."
