"I could have, sure," he smiles, innocently. "But there's just a point where even I have to admit that my morals don't coincide with the current government's, and if you ask me? I wouldn't trade it for the world."

He tips his head, and even flashes a small twitch of a smirk. "I mean, I could be where you are today, but I think I would hate myself just a little bit more with each passing second. Besides, I don't think they would trust me with my powers. It would be very difficult to track me."
