The stocky ex-supervillain turned proprietor, turned crimelord only smiled innocently. He tapped the edge of his cigarette holder on an ashtray, feeling pleased with himself all the while. "Why thank you, Major. I find that a certain hand can often guide things from the shadows, even in times of duress. I would hardly be a good businessman if I didn't know how to turn even dire situations into a profit."

He leaned forward then, gesturing a seat. "Can I get you something to drink?"

He sat and crossed his legs, the picture of casual ease despite how out-of-place he was among all the finery. "Champagne, I think. It has been quite some time since I felt real sparkles dancing on my tongue." He looked around the room, mentally calculating value and what the cost of each item implied- about Cobblepot's connections, his reach, his ability to do this in the current environment. He had certainly come to the right place, that was for sure.
