[If Rose looks up, she'll hear a knocking on the glass behind her. Sitting on the windowsill would be a crow -- an old crow, large with eyes she might remember from one too many chasing session with various cats once upon a time.

It caws expectantly, tilting its head in waiting. There appears to be a note tied to its foot.]

[nitidus]

[She glances up from her paper.

The crow receives a raised eyebrow. She doesn't get up at first -- a hasty exit would be strange, especially for Rose. She finishes off her tea first and then very slowly begins to back her things away.

Fifteen minutes after the crows arrival, she meets it outside. She scratches at his neck affectionately and then very carefully unties the note from it's foot. ]

[corvidave]

[Vladimir coos in appreciation, nipping Rose's finger affectionately. The note is scrawled in black pen, a familiar orange feather taped as a signature.]

cancel your plans tonight loser we're going shopping

[The crow tilts its head at Rose expectantly.]

[nitidus]

[She smiles despite herself. She gives the crow a roll of her eyes, fishing into her bag for a pen and scribbling on the back of the note: ]

Do I seem like some kind of sibling booty call?

[and then she ties it to Vladimir's leg. ]

Deliver to Regina post-haste.

[The crow flutters off much less gracefully than any other bird in the animal kingdom. An hour or so later, he'll find her again with a return note, this one much longer and without a signature feather.]

[She glances at her watch. Home is probably the best option at this point. She rips a page out of her notebook. ]

I am never too busy to listen to your problems. If you stay long enough you can have some take-out.

my problems encompass the fact that you better save me some god damn takeout
copious amounts of noodles belong in my stomach

[There will be no correspondance after that. But later at night, no doubt after he spots Rose roll up to her doorstep, she will find Davesprite appearing on the street behind her from around the corner, hood pulled up, hands stuffed in his pockets, shades in place to cover the red irises of his eyes.]

[nitidus]

[In her hand is a take-out bag, and in the other are her keys. He gets a glance before she ignores him in favor of opening her door.

Over her shoulder, just loud enough for him to hear, she says: ]

I don't mean to alarm you, but you seem to have transformed into a serial killer.
