"No thanks. I wanted to make you an offer, actually. I thought maybe you could use one," Norman said with a lazy smirk, his other hand gesturing idly to the warehouse around them. "I'm aware of your reputation, of course. But I think you could be putting your skills to better use."

His smirk grew slightly.

"Thoughts?"

An offer from Norman Osborn.

Huh. Perhaps the day (night? who cared?) wasn't completely shot to frell.

"I ain't a charity, yanno," he said at last, sitting upright, fidgeting under all that coat. "Don't be expectin' me to jump through hoops just 'cuz yer somewhat famous or whatever."

"No hoops. But you know, good help is hard to find these days. At least the work is steady, right?"

Norman's eyebrow arched, and he crossed his arms over his chest. His weapons were holstered in plain sight, though he didn't draw them; no need, of course, at least not so far.

"I thought you might appreciate it."

[littlebastich]

Slo-bo snorted.

"You're not a charity either," he pointed out. "You just gonna dance around this offer all day r'am I gonna actually learn somethin'?"

"No, I'm not. Working with me isn't rule-free, but it has its perks. For one thing, you can do almost whatever you want and not have to worry about getting arrested yourself."

His hand dropped to his holster. "Learn what, exactly?"

[littlebastich]

"Learn what," he parroted with a sneer. "Learn what you want. Can't be my company. What's this offer, huh?"
