Rose hands it over with little fuss. She gives the line a quick glance and shrugs at Nill as if to 'well, what can you do?'

She raises a hand, and says "wait a moment," under her breath before she reaches down into her purse and brings out a torn piece of paper. She scribbles her number down on it hastily before reaching over the table to slide atop the book.

She sits back down with all the daintiness of an elephant doing ballet.

Nill slips her hand over the scrap to cover it from curious eyes. She puts on the too-enthusiastic smile of a diehard fan, all for show. It makes her look silly, and she hopes, a little, that it might make Rose laugh. The blonde pulls the book to her chest and gives a nod of thanks, both for the signature and the number before turning (the back beneath the jacket devoid of the lumps that might give notice of her wings) and leaving the bar.

Later, a text message, from a number that will only be used tonight:

Dinner or drinks? Either is on me.

Rose is packing away her things when she receives the text. She does not have a lot of numbers on her phone. There are two; one is her own and the other is someone else entirely.

She sends a quick reply.

Drinks, I think.

Nill has exactly zero numbers in any phone she ever purchases. All the numbers she needs to know are memorized. It's handy, considering her line of work. The text following is the address of a not entirely sketch bar, along with a time for three hours in he future. There is no question mark. appearances must be maintained, after all. Time is allocated as best it can be, considering her show of being a foreigner in the City.

And at the appointed time, Nill will be sitting at a small table in said bar, sipping on a water as she pretends not to be waiting for anyone.

Rose shows up a few hours later, hair combed and her outfit changed. She sits down opposite Nill and shrugs off her coat. She offers a smile.

"Did I keep you?"

[niveous]

Her posture eases when she spies Penny walk in. She just hopes that she isn't too well-recognized in this place, else they might gain too much attention. She's thankful for the simple question, and shakes her head as she carefully pushes her water out of the way. She already has a few small pieces of paper and a pen ready to go, just in case Rose isn't quite comfortable with taking up the old habit of Nill's power.
